- Good faith statement: A statement that you have a good faith belief that the use of the material is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law.
- Accuracy statement: A statement that the information in your notice is accurate and, under penalty of perjury, that you are authorized to act on behalf of the copyright owner.
- Electronic or physical signature: Your electronic or physical signature.
3. How to Submit a DMCA Notice

4. Processing of DMCA Notices
Upon receipt of a valid DMCA notice, we will:
- Acknowledge receipt within 24-48 hours
- Review the notice for completeness and validity
- Remove or disable access to the allegedly infringing material promptly
- Notify the user who posted the material (if applicable)
- Document the takedown in our records
5. Counter-Notification Process
If you believe that your material was removed or disabled by mistake or misidentification, you may submit a counter-notification with the following information:
Required Information for Counter-Notification:
- Identification of the material: Description of the material that was removed and its location before removal
- Contact information: Your name, address, telephone number, and email address
- Good faith statement: A statement under penalty of perjury that you have a good faith belief that the material was removed by mistake or misidentification
- Consent to jurisdiction: A statement that you consent to the jurisdiction of the Federal District Court for your judicial district (or if outside the US, any judicial district in which Tools Reviewer may be found)
- Service acceptance: A statement that you will accept service of process from the person who provided the original takedown notice
- Signature: Your physical or electronic signature
6. Response to Counter-Notifications
Upon receipt of a valid counter-notification, we will:
- Forward the counter-notification to the original complainant
- Restore the material within 10-14 business days unless the complainant files a court action seeking to restrain the allegedly infringing activity
7. Repeat Infringer Policy
Tools Reviewer maintains a policy of terminating, in appropriate circumstances, users who are repeat infringers. We may disable accounts or access for users who repeatedly infringe upon the copyrights of others.
8. Misrepresentation
Please note that under Section 512(f) of the DMCA, any person who knowingly materially misrepresents that material or activity is infringing may be subject to liability for damages. We reserve the right to seek damages from any party that submits a false or misleading DMCA notice.
9. Fair Use Consideration
Before submitting a DMCA notice, please consider whether the use of copyrighted material may qualify as fair use. Fair use is a legal doctrine that permits limited use of copyrighted material without permission for purposes such as:
- Commentary and criticism
- News reporting
- Research and scholarship
- Parody
10. Good Faith Requirement
We expect all parties to act in good faith when submitting DMCA notices or counter-notifications. Abuse of the DMCA process may result in:
- Termination of user accounts
- Legal action for damages
- Reporting to appropriate authorities
11. International Considerations
While the DMCA is US law, we extend similar protections to copyright holders worldwide. International copyright claims will be handled with appropriate consideration for applicable international copyright laws and treaties.
12. Response Time
We strive to process all DMCA notices and counter-notifications as quickly as possible:

- Response to counter-notifications: Within 10-14 business days
13. Record Keeping
We maintain records of all DMCA notices and counter-notifications for legal and administrative purposes. These records may be disclosed as required by law or court order.
